Tyrolean Eldorado for ski tours: Hohe Salve region & chalet with private sauna

The Hohe Salve region is ideally equipped for varied ski tours. Both easy and challenging tours on the panoramic and snow-covered mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps are on the program. Explore picturesque winter landscapes during your ski tour, characterized by deep valleys, gentle slopes and challenging steep passages. Once you reach the top, majestic mountain panoramas are waiting to be marveled at before you head back down on a wonderful descent. A dream come true for passionate winter sports enthusiasts.

Ski touring areas around Mariastein, Tyrol

In the Hohe Salve region, there are various valleys for climbing the mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps in winter. Kelchsau in particular is a popular destination for ski tourers. The north-south valley offers ski tours to the Lodron, the Schwaigberghorn or the Schneegrubenspitze. Once you reach the top, fantastic panoramic views of the Tyrolean mountains such as the Hohe Tauern with the Großvenediger await you.

The Windau Valley, the Spertental, the Auracher Graben and the Wilder Kaiser also promise varied tours. Here are some examples of peaks to be climbed during a ski tour in the areas mentioned:

  • Lodron (1925 m)
  • Brechhorn (2037 m)
  • Steinbergstein (2215 m)
  • Gamskogel (2206 m)

All tour suggestions can be found on the Kitzbühel Alps ski tour map, which is available from the region's information offices.

Ski tours on the Hohe Salve

Of course, you can also tackle the Hohe Salve (1828 m) yourself - you can either start at the valley station of the Hochsöllbahn cable car to Söll (only outside the alpine ski season) or via the Hopfgarten ski touring trail. At the top, the view of the Kitzbühel Alps and the Wilder Kaiser rewards you.

Guided ski tours: insider tips, regional knowledge & maximum safety

Newcomers to ski touring in particular are recommended to first climb the peaks of Tyrol with trained mountain guides. During the guided ski tour, they not only benefit from insider tips, but also from the best knowledge of the region and tips for maximum safety (especially in terms of risk assessment and avalanche safety). This makes every ski tour an all-round successful experience!

Hire or extend touring ski equipment

If you need anything else for your touring ski equipment, there are various rental shops in the region. The nearest one is right in your vacation resort of Mariastein. But there are also sports stores with rental services directly at the valley station in Hopfgarten as well as in other places. You can also purchase one or two items of equipment there.

Return to your well-equipped and elegant chalet in Mariastein for relaxation, peace and enjoyment. Treat yourself to hours of leisure and well-being after winter sports. Make a non-binding inquiry now or book online and a dream winter vacation in Tyrol will soon be a reality!
